Business Wire在今天刊出了Steve Jobs的公開信件，表明將正式辭任Apple CEO的職位，不過將會擔任董事主席的職務，為Apple提供他獨特的見解、創意與靈感。
目前董事會也同意，未來將由Tim Cook繼任Apple CEO的職位。
以下為Steve Jobs的辭職信全文：
CUPERTINO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.
I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.
我一直說，如果有一天我再也無法勝任Apple CEO的職責與期待，我會第一個讓你們知道。不幸的是，這一天到了。
在此，我辭去Apple CEO的職務。如果董事會覺得適合的話，我將樂意繼續擔任董事會主席、董事以及Apple的員工。
至於我的繼任者，我強烈建議執行我們的繼任計劃，提名Tim Cook擔任Apple CEO。
