This is one of those designs that you wonder why didn’t I think of that, the standard cable for your iPhone and iPad could do with being a bit longer, especially if you want to use your device whilst it is charging.

Curly Cable is basically a longer cable for your iPhone, iPad or iPod, and the designers obviously took their inspiration from old style telephones, as the cable can be extended easily.

The iStation is a retro looking dock for your iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, the device has taken its design inspriation from the Apple I and it is made of wood and comes with a removable wireless keyboard.

You can connect the iStation to your iPad, iPhone or iPod by Bluetoth or USB, and the device also comes with a built in USB port, 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD card slot, have a look at the video of it in action below.

Engineers Use 3D Printer And Bone Like Material To Create New Bones (video):

3D printers are becoming more and more common in every day life and are even becoming available to the masses via Kickstarter. Now Researchers at Washington State University and engineers have been able to use a customised 3D printer to create a bone like material.

Which researchers are hoping will allow them to repair injuries in humans. The new material can be used as a support to help broken bones while they mend, and then dissolve away, leaving no side effects in the patient.

Gunpoint, Indie Game Trailer Unveils Fresh Approach To Game Design (video):

In a world where big name games development companies fight over sales. It great to see independent games developers brings fresh life to the gaming scene. Rather than the standard genre of FPS, sports or hack and slash gaming.

Developer and PC Gamer writer Tom Francis is currently developing whats shaping up to be a great new style of game with a retro feel, called Gunpoint. That Francis’ describes in his own words, as a “stealth puzzle game that lets you rewire its levels to to trick people”. Watch the video after the jump in which Francis takes you through the gameplay of his new game. Berg design studio has unveiled a neat little printer they have created that has been designed to bring you news, puzzles and gossip from your friends. It will even uses your subscriptions which it will then use to create a mini-newspaper.

You can use the Remote app on either your Android or iPhone to manage your subscriptions, and delivery times. See it in action after the jump.

We have features a number of different types of Chess games here on Geeky Gadgets. With the most recent being the Vertical Chess Set. However none have come close to changing the dynamics of the traditional game as much as this 3 man chess set variant. Which uses the same traditional rules and pieces as the original 2 player chess, but adds an additional player, using grey pieces.

Phillips Bio-Light Concept Uses Bacteria To Create Light:

Phillips has unveiled a new type of concept lighting which it has been developing, that uses bacteria as the source to create the light. The bacteria within the lighting system is fed with methane and composted material to create an ambient light.

The picture below shows the Probe, a wall of glass cells containing a live bacterial culture that then emits a soft green bioluminescence light. Each cell with the Probe is connected via a network of silicon tubes, to the food source reservoir at the base, creating a closed loop system for the living material.
