在WWDC 2011開幕演講之後，大概很多人都會覺得Jobs隔天一定是在家一邊打禪一邊好好療養一番，不過似乎並不是這一回事……
在WWDC 2011開幕後的隔天，Steve Jobs代表Apple到Cupertino市政廳去說明Apple未來的新園區計畫。
在去年Apple已經向HP收購了目前總部附近的HP舊用地，預備用來建立新的Apple園區。新的園區據說將會由英籍建築師Norman Foster設計，以下是Steve Jobs對此新園區計畫的敘述：
It’s a pretty amazing building. It’s a little like a spaceship landed. It’s got this gorgeous courtyard in the middle… It’s a circle. It’s curved all the way around. If you build things, this is not the cheapest way to build something. There is not a straight piece of glass in this building. It’s all curved. We’ve used our experience making retail buildings all over the world now, and we know how to make the biggest pieces of glass in the world for architectural use. And, we want to make the glass specifically for this building here. We can make it curve all the way around the building… It’s pretty cool.
這是一個相當驚人的建築。有點像是一艘降落的太空船。中央有一個非常精緻的庭園……這是一個環，將會環繞一整圈。如果要建一棟建築，這不是最便宜的方式。建築內沒有一塊平面的玻璃，全部都是弧面的。我們運用了我們打造全球各地零售店的經驗，我們也知道如何打造出世界最大的建築用玻璃。並且，我們希望能專門為這個建築來打造玻璃。我們可以讓玻璃彎曲，並環繞整棟建築……這很酷。
在Jobs說明後，一位議員向Jobs提出Cupertino是否能從新園區中獲得免費Wi-Fi之類的服務。Jobs的回答是：
If we can get out paying taxes, we would be glad to provide free Wi-Fi.
如果我們可以不用繳稅，我們會很樂意提供免費Wi-Fi網路。
新園區將會有80%的景觀，並且大部分的停車場都會地下化。現有的園區有3,700顆樹，新的園區將會增加到6,000顆以上，並且會包含一部分的杏樹果園。此外，Apple還計畫自行建立天然氣發電設施，與傳統電網並用並作為備用電源。
新的園區建築將會有四層，容納12,000名員工，預計於2015年完工。
