Israeli designer Shmuel Linski has created a pair of hefty speakers constructed from concrete, which weigh in at 123 lbs a pair. The speakers are not the first designs Linski has created from concrete and before putting his designs skills to audio equipment created a coffee maker and a canoe from the material.
The speakers don’t provide sound in the same way a traditional speaker would, as they don’t resonate sound from the material itself, but use a 38 inch pipe inside the speaker to feed the sound from the top and around the cone.
