在上週Softbank創辦人孫正義的一場訪問中，他提到了與Apple以及Steve Jobs的關係。而透過他的敘述，我們也稍微知道了Steve Jobs最後一天的情況……
Son said, “I visited Apple for the announcement of the iPhone 4S [at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California]. When I was having a meeting with Tim Cook, he said, ‘Oh Masa, sorry I have to quit our meeting.’ I said, ‘Where are you going?’ He said, ‘My boss is calling me.’ That was the day of the announcement of the iPhone 4S. He said that Steve is calling me because he wants to talk about their next product. And the next day, he died.”
在大約一週之前，我為了iPhone 4S發表一事訪問了Apple總部。當我與Tim Cook進行一對一會議時，他說：「抱歉，我必須離開會議了。」我問說：「你要去哪裡？」
他回答：「我的老闆在找我。」
那是iPhone 4S正式宣布的前一天。他說Steve找他，是想討論他們的下一款產品。在這之後的隔天，就如同大家所知道的，他走了。
即使是他去世的前一天，他最優先的事還是找Tim Cook。在他們最新產品發表的前一天，他想要討論下一個產品。於是他打電話給Tim Cook，要他快點到他家裡，因為他想要討論產品。
這正是一個真正的企業家，直到最後還會持續保有的精神。
我想，他病的非常重、非常虛弱。但是最新產品的發佈，讓他又能再多撐一些時間。在身體上來說，他可能更早就走了。不過他的熱情、他對自己的公司以及下一個產品的愛與夢想，讓他能又振作了起來。
我覺得，在心中永遠保持著這種精神，直到生命中的最後一天，是件非常重要的事情。
