One of the issues with high powered processors in desktop gaming and multimedia systems is keeping the processor cool. Sure you can use liquid cooling if you have the funds and the skills to install a system, but if you have to opt for coolers with fans, the side effect of these larger fan based cooling rigs is the noise they produce when under strain.
